Just Two Weeks To Go!! Hevy Music Festival is coming! Returning for its 3rd year,
Hevy is already shaping up to be one of THE music festivals of the Summer. In our final
announcements before the big weekend we tell you all about the final acts on the Red Bull
Bedroom Jam Stage, a very awesome party, 2 more additions to the bill, amazing clothing
brands on site, a trip to the animal park and the final stage line ups! Phew!
Returning to Hevy festival this year is the Red Bull Bedroom Jam Stage, the best place to
see up and coming bands from across the UK. After performing at some this summer’s top
festivals including Download and Sonisphere, the eight finalists from the Red Bull Bedroom
Jam online platform will be landing at the festival to end all festivals and for the first time
this year will be joined by some of their favourite entrants from 2011.
The eight bands chosen by this year's successful Red Bull Bedroom Jam bands are: metal
acts If Heroes Should Fail, Mishkin and Collapse The Control, pop-rockers The
Headstart, The Debut, Show It Off and The Afterparty, as well as post hardcore band Our
People Verses Yours. All of them making their festival debut at this year's Hevy.
Also, to kick off this year's festival, Red Bull Bedroom Jam will be hosting a pre party on
site on Friday 5th August. The line up will feature a choice selection of Red Bull Bedroom
Jam alumni including Don Broco, You And What Army and Never Means Maybe. The
night will be topped off with a DJ set from Radio One Rock Show presenter and metal
connoisseur, Daniel P Carter!
We also have two more additions to the Front x Etnies Stage on Friday. Max Raptor will
open the stage and Tek One will get your Friday night party started after Lower Than
Atlantis tear Kent a new one... Chuck in after-hours DJs every night, a load of FRONT girls
and plenty of booze, and you’ve got the makings of not only a blinding hangover but a
brilliant weekend!
Also onsite at Hevy will be stalls from some of the best and upcoming clothing brands
including our stage sponsors MacBeth and Etnies to Drop Dead Clothing, Johnny
Cupcakes, Impericon, Honor Over Glory, Big Deal Clothing and many more - be sure to
stop by all the great stalls! Don’t forget you also get FREE entrance to the Port Lympne
Wild Animal Park. They are part of the Aspinall Foundation who are devoted to
protecting rare and endangered animals, where possible returning them to the wild. A
portion of income from every ticket sold will go to The Aspinall Foundation to help protect
animals threatened by extinction.
